Give your bathroom a good clean

Nobody really wants to volunteer to clean the bathroom, let's be honest. But it's a job that has to be done. If you're going to tackle the job yourself and give your bathroom a good deep cleaning, don't forget these 4 areas that can sometimes go unnoticed (and uncleaned).

1. Cobwebs on the ceiling and walls

Has it been a while since you dusted the walls and ceilings? More than likely, there are some cobwebs and dust building up in these areas. Time to bust out the duster and a ladder (or chair) and get to work. Make sure to get the corners where the ceiling and walls meet.

2. The toilet base

Oh, the good old toilet base. You'll definitely want to wear some cleaning gloves for this one. Dirt and grime tend to build up here so grab some disinfectant spray and a cleaning cloth. Make sure to get in the crevices, the area behind the toilet base, and the floor around it.

3. The baseboards

"Don't you just love dirty baseboards?" said no one ever. White baseboards, especially in the bathroom, tend to become brown with dirt and grime pretty quickly. You can start by dusting the loose dust with a duster or microfiber cloth. Next, use soap with water or vinegar with a sponge or cloth and start wiping away the dirt and grime buildup. Be sure to dry them afterward so that more dust doesn't stick to them right away.

4. Chrome faucets and handles

These are easy ones to forget, but germs can build up on the faucet and toilet handles quick. Use a cloth and soap and water or vinegar-water solution and start scrubbing. You can use a toothbrush for harder to reach crevices and for tougher buildup. End with a chrome polish to make it shine extra bright if you wish.
